Bringing The Holiday Cheer

Dec 10, 2021

body 1 -2The Monroe, WI community is not one to miss out on an opportunity to bring some holiday cheer to the streets! The Monroe Truck Equipment team was proud to once again participate in the 20th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade!

Each year, area businesses and other organizations decorate vehicles and floats and join local marching bands, dancers, singers and even Santa himself as they pass spectators on Monroe Main Street.

After the parade Monroe area businesses opened for special events. Wisconsin Bank & Trust turned into Santa’s HQ and children were invited to participate in some crafts and enjoy holiday treats. Participants could even put their Christmas lists directly in Santa’s official mailbox!

After our team participated in the light parade, we linked up with The Monroe Chamber of Commerce, the Monroe Fire Department and Woods Transportation LLC to make a special stop to community members who could not join in the main festivities.

We took our decorated floats and vehicles to Pleasant View Nursing Home, Aster Assisted Living, Twining Valley, St. Clare Friedensheim, Monroe Health Services, Graceland Manor and Azura Memory Care to visit the residents right in the comfort of their own homes!

This special tour started last year, as a way to connect to community members who we could not visit due to Covid-19. The Monroe Truck Equipment team has family members at some of these local care facilities, so it was an extra special opportunity for us. We are happy to bring the cheer again this year, and hope to continue the tradition in the future.
