In 2020, despite several global and industry challenges, Monroe Truck Equipment experienced growth this past year. Part of our growth has been rearranging our team structures, better positioning certain team members and making room for fresh talent to join our team.
We are proud to share that Monroe Truck Equipment has recently welcomed two new team members. Our two new team members, Carl Voelkel and Mike Urie, have decades of experience that will help us reach our goals and make this year our best yet.
Meet Carl Voelkel
Carl Voelkel is our new Director of Information Technology. Carl has built his career in IT across various industries, working in large and small companies, moving from programming to projects to servers/networking to consulting, and beyond.
Carl enjoys technology and is looking forward to leveraging his experience for the Monroe Truck Equipment team.
Carl and his wife, Marisa have 8 adult children, and enjoy the outdoors and canoeing deep into the Boundary Waters.
Meet Mike Urie
Mike Urie is our new Director of Quality Control and is responsible for leading and developing the quality assurance teams at all Monroe Truck Equipment Locations.
Mike comes to Monroe Truck with 30 years of experience in various Quality leadership roles in automotive and non-automotive manufacturing companies. Mike and his wife, Claudia will be married 21 years in May and share two daughters.
The family moved here from Wichita, Kansas on New Years Day and have been welcomed into the Monroe community. Mike is a Washington Football fan, but will be happy to root for the Packers as his second favorite team.

We have been able to make it through this past year of challenges because of our dedicated and talented team members. We are so grateful for our colleagues who have continued to work hard and contribute to the success of our business. Because we have all worked toward a vision of growth, we are able to bring on more talented team members. We are thrilled to welcome Carl and Mike to the Monroe Truck Equipment team. We are grateful for their insight and look forward to earning from them both this year.
