Monroe Truck Equipment Welcomes New Engineering Team Members

Apr 6, 2021

Monroe Truck Equipment is proud to announce the three newest members of our engineering team, Jake Dregne, Matt Olson and Chris Bonde. Part of our vision for growth in 2021 is concentrating on innovation and new product development. Our three new team members will be instrumental in the success of our engineering and development efforts, and help us better serve our current and future customers.

Meet Jake Dregne

Jake grew up around Galena, IL and received his Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Milwaukee School of Engineering in August of 2020. Jake worked as a Mechanical Engineer intern at Wisconsin Oven and 2019 and went on to work at J.F. Ahern as a Fire Protection Designer from 2020 to early this year.

Jake is training with Monroe team member Eric Boyer and his team for several weeks before transitioning to join our Order Management Team. Outside of work, Jake and his family organize the Great Galena Balloon Race, an annual 3-day hot air balloon festival that attracts more than 4,000 visitors and raises money for JDRF and Camp Hertko Hollow, two organizations dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with diabetes.

Meet Matt Olson

Matt Olson grew up in southern Wisconsin and attended UW-Madison where he received his Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) in 2010. After graduation, he worked as a Machinist at a local shop where he drew and machined parts. In 2011, he started work at IMI Precision Engineering as an Application Engineer, where he focused on designing custom pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and accessories.

In 2015, he was promoted to Manufacturing Manager. For the past two years, Matt has been farming 150 acres of cropland with his family, and doing fabrication, welding and machining work on the side. We are proud to share that Matt will be joining Eric Boyer’s “Large Spreaders” team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Meet Chris Bonde

Chris Bonde attended UW-Platteville where he earned his Bachelor of Science,  Engineering Physics in 2002. After graduation, he worked as a Senior Design Engineer for Standard Imaging, a radiation quality assurance equipment manufacturer. He went on to work as a Mechanical Engineer at Phoenix, a Neutron Generator and Neutron Imaging manufacturer.

Chris is joining Monroe Truck Equipment as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Chief Engineer) on James Windgassen’s “Snow Removal” team, and will also be the SolidWorks CAD/PDM Administrator. Chris lives near New Glarus, Wisconsin, where he continues to serve as a member of the UW-Platteville Engineering Physics Advisory Board.

Our Growing Team

On behalf of the entire Monroe Truck Equipment team, please join us in welcoming Jake, Matt, and Chris. As we continue to focus on innovation and new product development, these new team members, and their individual strengths and skills, will be crucial in helping us reach our goals in 2021 and beyond. We are thrilled to welcome them to the team, and look forward to earning from them all this year.
