Monroe Truck Equipment achieves Premier Blood Partner status from the Red Cross

Over the past few years, our team at Monroe Truck Equipment in Monroe, WI has committed to hosting an in-house blood drive every 9 weeks. This schedule has given our team an opportunity to easily donate life saving blood and blood components to the American Red Cross, in an effort to further support our community.

We are so proud to announce that Monroe Truck Equipment has been recognized by the American Red Cross as one of its Premier Blood Partners for 2022, a prestigious honor, for its support of the community and national blood supply.

Since beginning the regularly scheduled drives, Monroe Truck Equipment has helped the Red Cross collect 525 units of blood as part of its deep-rooted commitment to help save lives of patients facing illnesses and injuries in this community and across the country.

In early March of 2020 our Marketing Team Lead, Amanda Field, spearheaded this initiative. The cause is one that is close to her heart; at one point, donated blood saved her life. Amanda was born with an RH incompatibility and required a blood transfusion shortly after birth. Leading this initiative was a way for her to rally the team around an important cause.

“Monroe Truck Equipment is proud to be a part of the Red Cross mission that helps ensure lifesaving blood is available for hospital patients in need,” said Amanda. “Our organization shares that same humanitarian value to help our neighbors, and we are grateful for the opportunity to host blood drives that will do just that here in our community.”

The Importance of Giving Blood

Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.

We encourage the community to join us in giving the gift of life by visiting a local blood drive. The donation process only takes about an hour and can make an enormous difference for a patient battling illness or injury.
